A native and former resident of Church Point and a resident of Carencro for the past 17 years, he was the son of the late N. Daigle, a Eunice native and the former Beulah Richard, a native of Church Point.
He was a graduate of Church Point High School. Formerly employed by Regis Breaux Real Estate Company, Daigle was presently a Deputy Sheriff with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department with five years of service. He was a member of the Civic Club in Carencro. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m.

Mrs. DeRouen the former Edna LeBlanc, was a native of Iberia Parish, daughter of the late Clerfait LeBlanc and the former Elmire Norris. A resident of Lafayette most of her life, she and her husband were the owners of the Evangeline Motel here for 30 years, retiring in June of 1975.
She was very active with the Garden Club of Lafayette, being a member since 1950, and had helped for many years with the Cleanest City Contest. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Immaculata helping with the Children's Carnival for many years. She was also a member of the St. Anne Society, R.S.V.P. and the Friends of De LaSalle.
Survivors include her husband, Paul J. DeRouen of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. William (Mildred) McDaniel of Houston; one brother, Oneil LeBlanc of Brownsville. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Cooksey, Lilly Toussell and Genevieve Talen; and one brother, Eraste LeBlanc. Pallbearers are Chuck Sawyer, Brother Thomas Daigle, Gerard St.
Martin, Ralph Gaudet, Fred Malzahn and William Stevenson Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Sawyer, Pat Colomb and Paul Boriskie. A rosary be recited at 7 p.m. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4-10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m.
